The material predominantly used by STAR srl is steel tube (known as furniture tube), for constructing furniture for use in public spaces.

It is selected on the basis of quality, so that we start from the best raw material, namely the furniture tubing which is cold rolled at high thickness, to ensure the finished product is manufactured correctly and above all with high mechanical strength.

The tube is cut, bent and worked using new generation machines to optimize production costs and the necessary consistency in the dimensions.

The structures thus assembled are continuous wire welded both manually and with robotic systems, according to the quantities involved in the job.

The frames then undergo special cleaning to remove the mill scale present in the tube, prior to chromium plating or painting, to ensure a quality end product.

The joinery and upholstery workshops separately prepare all the accessories to finish both chairs and tables, which are then assembled and packed in the assembly department.

Before being sent for packing, each STAR product is subjected to quality tests specific to the individual job, to establish that the correct materials and colours chosen by the client have been used.

It can be confirmed (and indeed certified) that all the materials used in making a STAR product have been sourced from within Italy, thus adding further value on top of that created by our optimized manufacturing process, and ensuring conformance to all the requirements of the Italian regulatory framework.
